Who is Deb Uscilka?

My first experience with design was when I was only seven years old. The job was to help the church secretary choose clip art for the programs and newsletters; I was doing the original cut and paste. Let's move forward a few years.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Hesser College with an Associates in Radio and Video Communication and Clark University CCI with a certificate in Graphic and Web Design, I was promoted from shipping/receiving manager to sales support coordinator at Great Northern Video. I spent one year improving the collateral for the sales team. Then, I had an opportunity to teach for Clark University CCI as a Visual Communications instructor. I am still teaching for our new education partner; American International College.

Currently, I am teaching the Adobe Creative Suite for Graphic and Web Design; including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver and Flash. I have taught the programs in a classroom environment and one-on-one for Clark University CCI, American International College, and the University of Massachusetts. I also maintain many relationships as a mentor with my graduates as they enter the workforce.

As a member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals (NAPP), I have expanded my knowledge of the entire Adobe Creative Suite. I also continually keep up with new versions of software as they are released.
